Introductions made and attendance sheet passed around

Speakers-
United Access- Brian and Janelle spoke about their accessible vehicles, rent, purchase, and service cars. They also convert vehicles to make them accessible. This is a national organization.

Dumyon Martial arts- GM Sterling Chase mentioned that they just celebrated their 10
year anniversary. He described his adaptive programs for anyone who needs self defense and
has a “good heart”. The toastmasters program is going very well.

DVR- David introduced his pre-employment vocational services and described the youth
and transition services and how they partner with SWAP programs.

Agency updates and events
Peak Parent Center- Nov 14 overview workshop; Nov 12 Wright law;
Oct, Nov, Dec Online webinar training on benefits

A Cognitive Connection is hosting their annual Trunk or Treat celebration open for all day
programs and free to the community. Oct 31 from 1-3 pm

Goodwill- Digital skill training program free for all participants

School for the deaf and blind are having a Celebration of the White Cane on 10/17/24 all
are welcome to attend

Foundations of Successful living- Healthy relationship class will be starting up again
soon

Kaaum opening up in Thorton, Grand Junction, and introduced new staff Jean

Dance updates- around 100 in attendance at the last dance ; thank you to Bob for pizza and
other agencies for donating chips and cookies
Next dance is scheduled for Dec 16- winter theme- Nicole will not be in attendance

Financial report- Balance of $2,635.90

Next meeting Nov 20 at BOCES
December 18 meeting -possible holiday party, the group will look for a location.
