Agency updates
Demyon Martial arts- GM Sterling Chase just had their annual fundraiser- it was
awesome, announced toastmasters club for DD population
The Arc PPR- Halloween dance Oct 31 tickets are available for purchase $5; Legislative
town hall is Oct 2 – encouraging everyone to attend- they have flyers in English and Spanish;
Teen hang out program in full swing
Goodwill- festival on Sep 20 from 10-1 at their GOG location- they are offering tours
Bob Barrows- CDE offers trainings – and he has a Podcast coming up on SPED
District 3 – Widefield is holding their agency resource fair- contact for more info
PASCO- Sarina- they are moving offices in 2 weeks to the TRE building on the 3 rd floor
A Cognitive Connection- Carol V- Trunk or Treat Oct 31 from 11-3 at 2020 N Academy
Blvd open to all abilities, and day programs/ Diverse abilities pride council will be hosting their
next social event on Sep 25 from 5-7- Pizza Pints, and Paint
Disability Connections – Courtney R announced the next Painting with Coco’s creations
on Oct 26 2-4 at 2020 N. Academy Blvd- $10 donation
Special Olympics- winter sports registration is open
Discussions and upcoming events
Our PPITT Back to School event in August went well at the Public House – next time we meet
there (possibly a December meeting) they can provide a small menu to make it easier.
PPITT Halloween Dance- is scheduled for Oct 29 th – ACC is providing pizza and music / PASCO
will bring cookies/ Dungarvin- chips- we need a traffic coordinator Location will be at Hillside
Community Center
Next month’s meeting is scheduled for Oct 17 th at Boces- Facilitator- Janie Poole, Notetaker-
